Advanced Periodontal Treatment

Advanced periodontal treatment is aimed at maintaining important teeth long term when they have certain types of periodontal disease.

The treatments can include bone grafting and guided tissue regeneration, as well as therapy for pocket reduction and for removal of excess gum tissue. Many of the treatments are very effective in the right pet and the right defect, but almost all will require a high-level home care following treatment. Guided tissue regeneration is not expected to succeed without daily toothbrushing. Follow-up professional care will also be required to ensure long-term success.

We are very selective in which patients and locations we apply treatments like this, but love doing them. Advanced periodontal surgery is one of Dr. Pegg’s favourite surgeries to perform.
