Full Mouth Dental Extractions
Pet parents are commonly concerned that if we remove most or all of their pet's teeth that they will have difficulty eating, and the opposite is usually true. The most common reaction is that they THRIVE.
In the wild, animals need teeth for hunting and killing prey, breaking it into small pieces and grooming their coat, but in domestic life we have taken care of these needs.
Animals that need full mouth extractions are typically in a great deal of pain, and following surgery this is usually improved even within the first few days after surgery.
And YES! They can eat without teeth! Many pets are much more comfortable and we see an improvement in appetite after surgery.
